The Problem With Blackheads
Unhygienic Looking
Blackheads are a type of acne that are little black spots on the body, most commonly the face. They occur from the build up of oil within pores. They are easily noticed by all because of the contrast of the dark spots on pink skin. Blackheads can affect the way we feel about ourselves and the way the public views us. Most people view blackheads as a reflection of a person’s poor hygiene. They may assume you don’t take the time to care about your appearance and or possibly even wash. Blackheads, like all skin problems, should be addressed right away. Check out our recommended deep cleansing facial wash.
Psychological Trauma
Blackheads, along with other types of acne, can cause all sorts of problems for the person with acne. Psychological trauma is one of the biggest problems the suffer of acne has to deal with. This is because in our society we all want to have perfect skin, the perfect body, and the perfect life. We feel people look down on us if we don’t have these things. Having acne can lead to low self esteem and eventually depression if it is not taken care of. The sufferer may withdraw from social situations because of embarrassing, and in extreme cases may even commit suicide. This can happen to anyone, but will most likely happen to those with serious acne issues that are constantly teased and put down. That is when the low self esteem kicks in and people begin to feel horrible about themselves.
Face Touching and Redness
Having blackheads can lead to people touching their faces often. The acne is always on their mind and it can lead to nervous touching. Plus, they constantly try to get rid of it by squeezing the spots. Touching your face often to get rid of blackheads is a bad habit and will ultimately lead to other issues. After touching your face redness can develop, making your acne more noticeable. Plus, applying constant pressure to the skin, and rubbing in oil and bacteria from your hands can cause more acne. Blackheads seem like a small issue, but they lead to bigger problems if you aren’t careful.
