How to Remove Blackheads

Face Wash

There are several face washes specially designed for deep pore cleansing. These will rinse away the oil that causes blackheads. To use a face wash to remove blackheads, first splash your face with warm water, not hot water as it will dry the skin. Apply the face wash to your hands and lather it up. Gently rub the face wash into the facial skin in circular motions, until your face has been covered. Rinse face with warm water, then pat dry. Always apply a facial moisturizer when done. There are also several homemade remedies. Take egg white and spread it all over a freshly cleaned face, let it dry for about one half hour and then wash it off. This will provide the benefit of tightened skin.

Masks or Peels

To remove blackheads with a face mask or peel, first rinse with face wash and warm water. Apply the face mask or peel to the clean face. Allow this to dry for approximately 30 minutes until it feels tight to the face. As it dries the face mask will tighten, capturing the blackheads in the dried mask. As soon as it is dry, begin at the chin and pull off in an upward motion. You will notice blackheads sticking to the mask, and a visible reduction in pore size on your face. It is a good idea to rewash the face after the mask is removed. This removes any excess face mask or peel from the skin. Remember to apply a facial moisturizer afterwards.

Tweezers or Strips

The removal of blackheads with tweezers or tools is not a good idea, but a lot of people do it. To remove with tweezers, just place the tweezers over the blackhead and pinch the tweezers together. This can irritate the skin and cause redness. Always wash the face when done. It is probably a better idea to use blackhead removing nose strips. To use a facial strip, wash face with warm water and facial wash, and then pat dry with a clean towel. Place a strip over the area with blackheads. Secure the strip by pressing down on it. Then begin on one side and pull the strip off from one side to the other. This strip should pull out the blackheads from the skin. Be sure to wash face again with warm water and face wash.

Exfoliating

Exfoliating is good for removing and preventing blackheads. It is good for the skin and brings a youthful glow back to the skin. There are different kinds of exfoliating washes so be sure to get the right kind of scrub for the skin type. The best way to exfoliate would be to purchase a scrub with the exfoliating particles. Rub this scrub into the skin in circular motion, paying close attention to areas with blackheads. While using the scrub, be sure to clean the areas around the creases like the corners in the nose, the chin or around the eyes. After using the exfoliating scrub to clean the face with warm water and pat dry with a clean cloth. Don’t forget to apply the skin moisturizer to prevent dryness or wrinkling.
